“Don’t stress. Do your best. Forget the rest.”
Stress is something we all encounter, and sometimes way more often then we’d like. And we’re always told to relax, let go and try not to worry. But easier said than done. As hard as it is to just let go and forget, it is essential for us in order to be happy and healthy. As long as we learn to follow our hearts and do the stuff we love, we will see that we won’t be as stressed as we were when doing the things we settled for. This week is a stressful week for me, because of midterms and assignments that are due. But I make sure to still find time to spend with friends, family and most importantly time for MYSELF. Even if it is a 5 minute meditation; it can be drawing, baking, anything that makes me happy and allows me to forget my worries. Don’t feel guilty for a second, if your heart tells you to take a break from your hectic life and do something you love, just like Nike says “JUST DO IT” :). Honestly you will see how much more focused you are, and how much better you will feel. I challenge us all this week to take time for ourselves to not stress over the things that we know deep down in our hearts aren’t as important as we make them out to be.
